From the motorway (A5, A67)

Take motorway exit Darmstadt / Stadtmitte (city): Follow Rheinstraße through the city tunnel. At the end of the city tunnel, turn left and follow the Cityring. At the first traffic light turn left into Kirchstrasse. At the next traffic light, turn right into Landgraf-Georg-Straße. The next junction on the left is Fraunhoferstraße. Ahead you find the institute entrance.

From the Central Station

On the main entrance on the east side, at the central bus station Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof (ZOB) you get the following RMV connections by bus or tram:

• Bus line H (direction Kesselhutweg or Alfred-Messel-Weg) to bus stop Alexanderstrasse
• Bus line K (direction TU-Darmstadt Lichtwiese) to bus stop Schloss
• Bus line F (direction Oberwaldhaus) to bus stop Schloss or (next) Alexanderstraße
• Tram line 2 (direction Böllenfalltor) to bus stop Schloss
• Tram line 3 (direction Lichtenbergschule) to bus stop Schloss

From the airport (Frankfurt, FRA)

The Airliner provides a bus transfer usually twice an hour from bus stop 14 at Frankfurt airport to Darmstadt central railway station with connections to buses and trams. Take bus line F (direction Oberwaldhaus) to bus stop Schloss. At the end of the pedestrian zone follow Landgraf-Georg-Straße in the same direction as the bus and take the first street left (Fraunhoferstraße). Follow this street. You will find the institute entrance on the right hand.
