Dipl.-Ing. Daniel Holweg
After finishing his studies of geodesy at the Technische Universität Darmstadt Daniel Holweg worked as scientific staff at Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics (Fraunhofer IGD). From 2003 to 2007 he was head of the department Graphic Information Systems of Fraunhofer IGD. His main research areas were in the field of GIS-based visualisations, open distributed environments and information management. In this domain he has published several scientific papers and organised workshops dealing with the relevant topics. He has also managed several international projects. From 2007 to 2010 Mr Holweg was services director for the Geo domain of Bentley Systems. Since 2010 he has worked as Professional Service head for M.O.S.S. Computer Grafik Systeme GmbH.
Mr Holweg is one of the managers of InGeoForum. From 2004 to 2008 he was vice-president of the German umbrella association for geo-information (Deutscher Dachverband für Geoinformation, DDGI) and represented the association as member of the executive committee of the European Umbrella Organisation for Geographic Information (EUROGI).
